Adani Agri Logistics Limited, a Gautam Adani group company, has bagged a contract from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to build four Anaj Kothi (silo) complexes in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Adani Agri Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Logistics Limited, has received Letter of Allotment (LoA) from FCI in this regard under the competitive bidding process.
Where silo: Adani Agri Logistics will develop and operate the Anaj Kothi complex (silo complex) at four locations- Kanpur, Gonda and Sandila in Uttar Pradesh, besides Katihar in Bihar with a total storage capacity of 3.5 lakh tonnes. With this, Adani Agri Logistics Limited will now have a total of 15.25 lakh tonnes. The silo complex will benefit the farmers of the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
According to the company, this will benefit the common consumers and the beneficiaries of PDS (Public Distribution System). In addition there will be substantial savings on labor cost, sacking and transportation. The silo complex will be executed under Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) mode.
