NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed lower in the Friday’s session.

Euro India Fresh Foods(up 2.24%), Prataap Snacks(up 2.05%), Vadilal Industries(up 0.41%) and Zydus Wellness(up 0.23%) stood among the top gainers.

Dangee Dums(down 5.06%), Umang Dairies(down 4.64%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.70%), Future Consumer(down 2.56%), Heritage Foods(down 2.46%), Jyothy Labs(down 2.24%), Hindustan Foods(down 2.22%), Parag Milk(down 2.13%), Emami(down 2.09%) and Dodla Dairy(down 2.02%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 302.45 points down at 17327.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 1020.8 points at 58098.92.

Divis Laboratories(up 1.75%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.44%), Tata Steel(up 0.68%), Cipla(up 0.58%) and ITC(up 0.39%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 7.97%),

Enterprises(down 4.13%), Hindalco Industries(down 3.82%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 3.47%), State Bank of India(down 2.94%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 2.91%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.85%), NTPC(down 2.79%), Bajaj Finance(down 2.75%) and IndusInd Bank(down 2.73%) closed in the red.
