NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed higher in the Friday’s session.

DFM Foods(up 4.64%), Hindustan Foods(up 3.57%), Jyothy Labs(up 2.61%), ADF Foods(up 1.25%), Gillette India(up 1.08%), Zydus Wellness(up 0.77%), Parag Milk (up 0.68%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 0.68%), Emami(up 0.63%) and Sheetal Cool Products(up 0.57%) stood among the top gainers.

Euro India Fresh Foods(down 3.19%), Nakoda Group(down 2.89%), Varun Beverages(down 2.02%), Umang Dairies(down 1.80%), Nestle India(down 1.04%), Bajaj Consumer(down 0.82%), Heritage Foods(down 0.70%), Marico(down 0.66%), Dodla Dairy(down 0.60%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.46%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended up 28.65 points at 18512.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 20.96 points at 62293.64.

HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.45%), Tata Motors(up 2.31%), Reliance Industries(up 1.49%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.31%), Coal India(up 1.27%), Wipro(up 1.14%), Divis Laboratories (up 1.13%), Eicher Motors(up 1.09%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.07%) and Axis Bank(up 1.05%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Nestle India(down 1.04%), ICICI Bank(down 0.91%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.85%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.57%),

Enterprises(down 0.53%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.51%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.46%), HDFC Bank(down 0.46%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.45%) and SBI Life(down 0.44%) closed in the red.
