RTNPOWER(down 3.75%), Suzlon Energy(down 3.37%), Karma Energy(down 3.17%), Adani Transmissions(down 3.05%), ADANIGREEN(down 3.04%), Reliance Power(down 2.87%), Indo Tech Transformers( down 2.87%), Adani Power(down 2.66%), SJVN(down 2.07%) and NLC India(down 1.83%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 276.3 points down at 16201.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 1016.84 points at 54303.44.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 3.94%), Bajaj Finance(down 3.92%), HDFC(down 3.78%), Hindalco Industries(down 3.5%), Reliance Industries(down 3.02%), Wipro(down 2.97%) ), Tech Mahindra(down 2.53%), Infosys(down 2.52%), Tata Steel(down 2.02%) and Tata Consultancy(down 1.96%) closed in the red.
