Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki is preparing to launch its first electric scooter in the Indian market. The company is soon going to introduce its famous maxi scooter Burgman Street in a new electric avatar. Recently, this scooter has been spotted during testing.

After coming into the market, these scooters will mainly compete with electric scooters like Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube. In the past, two models of electric version of Suzuki Bergman Stryl have been seen testing in Delhi-NCR. One such prototype model was also spotted during testing last year.

As far as design is concerned, it is similar to the current petrol model, the testing model is seen in blue-white color. On its front, the company has given Telescopic Fork Suspension and in the rear the Dual Shock Observer Suspension. Apart from this, the alloy wheel of this scooter is the same as the current model. In this, the company has not given an exhaust (silencer), which is not required in electric vehicles.

Motor and Driving Range: However, the company has not yet shared any information about the motor and battery of this electric scooter. But media reports are being told that the company can use a battery pack of 3-4kWh capacity in it. In addition, its electric motor will generate power from 5–6 kW capacity. It is believed that this scooter will give a driving range of 80 to 90 km in a single charge and its top speed will be 80 km per hour.

What will be the price: However, it is difficult to say anything about the price of this electric scooter before the launch. But it is expected that this scooter can be launched at a price of Rs 1.20 lakh. The current Burgman Street has an initial price of Rs 81,213, while its top variant is priced at Rs 84,711.
