The Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) 2021 awards ceremony will be held on October 14. Ahead of the ceremony the jury meet was held in the capital.
The evaluation period for TOISA 2021 was from January 1 to December 31, 2021. All achievements during this time period were considered by the jury.
Meet one of the big contenders for the TOISA 2021 Female Archer of the Year award – Deepika Kumari.

In June 2021, Deepika Kumari became the world No. 1 archer after completing a hat-trick of gold medals at the Archery World Cup Stage 3. She won the Recurve individual event 6-0.
This was Deepika’s second individual World Cup gold medal of 2021 and the third gold of the day as she had earlier won gold in the women’s team and mixed team events as well. Deepika had earlier clinched, with her husband Atanu Das, their first World Cup gold medal as a pair.
For her efforts in 2021 with the bow, Deepika was nominated in the ‘Women’s Archer of the Year’ category for the Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) 2021.
